Is Capital the Number Driver of SaaS success?

There are plenty of non-VC Funded businesses than get to $10m, $50m and even $100m in sales.  The number one driver of growth is product/market fit, followed by management  and then capital as a tertiary driver.  See this survey to a group of almost 100 SaaS businesses in Toronto in 2015 that I conducted.  The unfunded businesses have higher revenue on average!
